Gene Ontology enrichment in PPN-specific and horizontally acquired proteins

DOI

We used a hypergeometric test within the FUNC program (Prüfer et al., 2007) to determine whether certain GO terms assigned via InterproScan annotation were significantly enriched in M. incognita : - PPN-specific proteins - PPN-specific putative secreted proteins (PSP) - PPN-specific Candidate effectors - Possible horizontal gene transfers (Alien Index >0) - Candidate horizontal gene transfers (Alien index >14) compared to the rest of the proteins in this species. We used a false discovery rate (FDR) threshold value of 0.05 to consider a term as significantly enriched.
