3D meshes in .fbx format and textures as .jpg-files, and Unity Prefab of the composite 3D model of the Ancient Theatre of Miletus. Unity .meta-files are also inluded and are required for the Unity Prefab conncetions.
In total, there are 14 separate 3D meshes and 33 high-resolution textures (8k and 4k). The dataset includes a Unity template (Prefab) with the combined, correctly aligned 3D meshes that form the full digital Version (Digital Twin) of the Ancient Theatre of Miletus.
The 3D data was collected with photography, drone imaging, and LiDAR 3D scanning. The data was processed and combined for creating the 3D meshes and textures for each part of the theatre. To use the 3D model of the Ancient Theatre of Miletus import all files of this dataset (including the .meta-files) into the Unity Asset folder of your project. You only need to add "01_TheatreOfMiletusComplete_Prefab.prefab" to your Unity scene to use the 3D model in Unity.
This dataset includes the following separate 3D models (3D mesh + textures) of the Ancient Theatre of Miletus:

The interdisciplinary project RFB02 "Immersive City Scripts: Inscriptions and the Construction of Social Spaces in Miletus (Asia Minor)" investigates how inscriptions structured public spaces in the ancient city Miletus and Didyma. Part of the project is an immersive virtual reality application of the Milesian theatre, where you can explore and experience the inscriptions with the help of reconstructions, different light settings and agents in the virtual space. The project belongs to the Research Field B “Inscribing Spaces” of the first phase (2019-2025) of the Cluster of Excellence “Understanding Written Artefacts”.
