Python implementation of data-based estimation of critical time steps for explicit time integration

DOI

This is a demo for the manuscript 'Data-based estimation of critical time steps for explicit time integration' that demonstrates data-driven approaches for 2D-element time step estimation as described in the manuscript. It includes all data sets and code used in the preparation of this manuscript. This includes all resources required for the generation of data sets, evaluation of existing estimators, development of optimal safety factors for arbitrary estimators, and the implementation of the new time step estimators. The functions are showcased by recreating all plots from the manuscript. For more information, see the README.
