Raziskava SJM121 je sestavljena iz treh sklopov: iz Raziskave o nacionalni in mednarodni varnosti, Mednarodne raziskave o družini in spreminjanju spolnih vlog (ISSP 2012) in Primerjalne raziskave volilnih sistemov (CSES 2012). Sklop Raziskave o nacionalni in mednarodni varnosti obravnava teme: ogrožanje varnosti, varnostna kultura, varnostni sistemi Slovenije, mednarodne vojaške operacije in misije, varnostne integracije v Evropi, mednarodni terorizem in vojaški poklic. Sklop Mednarodne raziskave o družini in spreminjanju spolnih vlog (ISSP 2012) obravnava poglede na družino, stališča o vlogi žensk v družini in pri zaposlitvi, skrb za otroke, delitev dela v gospodinjstvu, stališča do spolnih vlog, spolnosti in partnerskih razmerij, poroka, ločitev, homoseksualnost, vprašanja o abortusu. Vprašanja zajemajo tudi stališča o ekologiji in ekološke navade. V sklopu Primerjalne raziskave volilnih sistemov (CSES 2012) je izveden četrti modul CSES, ki izpostavlja tematiko stališč podpore regulaciji družbene neenakosti s strani države in kako se to prepleta z oblikovanjem politične podpore. Slednje je mogoče primerjati tudi z subjektivno oceno stanja in perspektive gospodarstva. Četrti modul vsebuje tudi posebna vprašanja, ki merijo mobilizacijo volivcev prek različnih novih medijev v primerjavi s tradicionalnimi načini. Primerjalne raziskave: SJM032, SJM052, SJM092.
SJM121 survey consists of three parts: National and International Security Survey, International family and changing gender roles survey (ISSP 2012) and The European post-election survey (CSES 2012). The National and International Security Survey part deals with issues: security threats, safety culture, safety systems in Slovenia, international military operations and missions, security integration in Europe, international terrorism and military occupation. The International family and changing gender roles survey part (ISSP 2012) deals with views of the family, views on the role of women in family and employment, child care, division of labour in the household, attitudes towards gender roles, sexuality and partner relationships, marriage, divorce, homosexuality, the issue of abortion. Issues include views on ecology and ecological habits. The European post-election survey part (CSES 2012) is the fourth module of CSES, which exposes the topic of the attitude towards the support of social inequality regulation by the country and how this is connected to formation of political support. The latter could be compared to subjective evaluation of the current situation and the perspective of the economy. The fourth module also includes special questions which measure mobilisation of voters by using different new media in comparison to traditional mobilisation approaches.
