Das ARE hat in Zusammenarbeit mit dem BAV und dem ASTRA ein multimodales Verkehrsmodell für den nationalen Personenverkehr (NPVM) mit einem Zustand 2017 erstellt. Verkehrsmodelle sind Instrumente, die beispielsweise zur Analyse der Auswirkungen von Infrastrukturprojekten, zur Berechnung des Verkehrsaufkommens, zur Ermittlung von Veränderungen der Verkehrsbeziehungen, der Verkehrsströme sowie des Modalsplits und zur Identifizierung künftiger Engpässe im Verkehrsnetz dienen. En collaboration avec l'OFT et l'OFROU, l'ARE a établi un modèle de base multimodal pour le trafic voyageurs national (MNTP) avec état de base en 2017. Un modèle de transport est un outil qui permet par exemple d'évaluer les conséquences des projets d'infrastructure, de calculer le volume du trafic, de prévoir les modifications des liaisons de transport, les flux de trafic, la répartition modale et les éventuels goulets d'étranglement du réseau de transports. The Federal Office for spatial development, together with the Federal office for transport and the Federal office for roads, has created a multimodal transport model for the National passenger transport with a base year 2017. Transport models are tools to evaluate the consequences of infrastructure projects, to compute the traffic volumes and to predict changes in traffic flows, modal shares and possible bottlenecks in the transport network. L'ARE ha sviluppato un modello di calcolo multimodale per il traffico viaggiatori in Svizzera (MTVN) in collaborazione con l'UFT e l'USTRA (base 2017).
