Mikrocensus 1995, 3. quarter: Houskeeping - Child Care

DOI

The consultants of the social statistic recommended the September 1995 survey to be on the topic of “housekeeping and child care. This field had already been the topic of several special programs under the titles living conditions of the female population in 1969 and 1977 and “household - children - employment in 1983. The comparison of this survey with those from the previous years shows changes in the behaviour of the partners concerning housekeeping and childcare and how much this change is the result of the increasing employment of women outside the household. Adequate institutional childcare which allows women to accommodate childcare and employment has been of public interest for the last years. An important aspect is the question of to what extent care and education is transferred from the family to public institutions.
