The aim of this study was to analyse the data collected from the statistics of the 1801-1841 Censuses for a group of parishes in the area of Harwich, Tendring Hundred, Essex.

The file consists of a dictionary and a set of data collected from the statistics of the 1801-1841 Censuses. The statistics are held in the Census Room of the Public Records Office. Excluded from the data are the returns for merchant seamen in British-registered ships who were separately enumerated. Please note: this study does not include information on named individuals and would therefore not be useful for personal family history research.
