The Labour Market Policies and Institutions indicators are part of the employment database of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The indicators contain comparable statistics on spending on and participation rates of various active labour market programmes. The labour market programmes include public employment services, training, hiring subsidies, direct job creation in the public sector and unemployment benefits. Furthermore, the database offers comparable statistics on the strictness of employment protection, statutory minimum wages and the density of trade unions. Data are available for all 36 OECD countries and cover the period 1985-present. Here we focus on statistical data.
