Verification of the charge ordered superstructure in YBaMn2O6

A definite understanding of the charge ordering phenomenon in the manganites has still not been reached, even for the case of prototype R1/2Ca1/2MnO3 manganites. In such context, we propse to revisit the crystal structure of novel A-site ordered half-doped RBaMn2O6 (D=Ba) manganites choosing YBaMn2O6 as a new playground material for which so far, only scarce analysis of structural distortions from powder diffraction data are available, and they are associated with a disputable interpretation.
