This dataset presents the data used for the construction of networks that represent patterns of distribution and production of ampphoric containers and the socio-economic reality of food consumption in Roman times.
The data available in this dataset are the result of more than thirty years of epigraphic emptying in the CEIPAC database (http://ceipac.ub.edu), although the data cleaning processes of the data used here belong to the years 2015-2018.
The data in general are inscriptions made on Roman amphoras found in the Roman Empire. These data can be freely used by the more than 4K specialists in amphoric epigraphy.
The dataset also includes Files in .gdf / .gephi (which can be read by GEPHI) showing the representations of a network where meeting places of objects are associated with their places of origin of the data in the CEIPAC database
The dataset includes a folder where the programme used for making the representations is avaailable. The programme is written in python and can be used to represents a network for a given time interval. For its use, the programme requires to have the data files in certain conditions as explained in the manual (in Spanish) and the readme file available in the corresponding folder.
