High energy spin excitation in superconducting Rb0.8Fe1.68Se2

DOI

Superconductivity (SC) in unconventional superconductors is believed to be related to magnetism. However, in AyFe1.6+xSe2 (A = K, Rb, Cs) system discovered in late 2010, the SC phase appears to be intimated connected with the AF phase. The high energy magnetic excitation changes dramatically upon doping in most of other high-Tc systems, so the comparison of high-energy excitation between the SC and a NSC AyFe1.6+xSe2 is also necessary. We have already found the spin wave at low energy in Rb0.8Fe1.68Se2 suppressed compare to that in insulating parent compound. A high energy TOF experiment will allow us to compare the SC and NSC sample up to 300 meV, and try to reveal the interplay between the superconductivity and the long-ranged anti-ferromagnetic order.
