16S metagenomic analysis of the biogeographic changes associated with Salmonella enterica infection in swine

The aim of this study was to characterize the microbiome of various gastrointestinal locations (small intestine, large intestine, and feces) in swine using 16S sequencing following experimental infection with multiple serovars of Salmonella enterica.
