Replication Data for: Development of self-scan person-centered care

This study was part of a larger project that aims to develop learning strategies to transfer scientific knowledge regarding person-centered care (PCC) into tools and instruments for healthcare professionals who work in daily practice in nursing homes (NHs). As part of the learning strategies, we aimed to develop a tool that enables healthcare professionals to evaluate and improve their own PCC. The research question was: Which tool provides healthcare professionals in NHs insight into the extent to which they provide PCC so that they can learn and improve in PCC without additional care registrations?

This study is part of a PhD dissertation called "Learning and creating together: Bridging the gap between science and practice through education to enhance person-centered nursing home care."

Method: Qualitative participatory research was conducted utilizing a Delphi approach consisting of three consultation rounds.

Universe: Participants with expertise in the domains of quality of care in nursing homes, person-centered care, nursing education (at both practical and applied science institutions) and the practice of nursing home care (some participants were nurses, both practically trained and educated at the university of applied sciences).

Country / Nation: Scope worldwide, language restriction: English.
