Die Geschichte der Mülltrennung und die direkte Nutzung von Hausmüll als Dünger wird am Beispiel Berlins von der Industrialisierung bis in die 1960er Jahre beschrieben und es werden einige damals wie heute damit entsprechend verbundene Fragen angesprochen.

Comments on the handling of waste from industrialization to the 1960s using Berlin as an example: The history of the separation of domestic waste and the direct use of household garbage as fertiliser is described from the industrialisation until the 1960ties using the example of Berlin. Correspondily,  some issues associated with domestic waste treatment in the course of time are addressed.
