U-Th isotope systematics and light stable isotope data of carbonate enriched sediments at MASOX and HyBIS sites (methane seepage off Svalbard) from JAGO dives during cruise Maria S. Merian MSM21/4

Values with # mark highly unreliable ages characterized by uncertainties larger than the deduced age or even dominated by 230Th correction values as well as isochron approaches based just on 2-point reference lines. Therefore, the latter may not provide any proof for the petrographic postulation of cogenetic origin.Uncertainties presented on 2 sigma level.HyBIS U-measurements were performed on Quadrupole Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (Q-ICP-MS) on limited precision level.Note 1: The sample weight represents the analysed amount dissolved in 4 N Acetic Acid and 2.25 N HNO3 (marked by -2), respectively, at room temperature over 2 hours. Remaining material was 2 x centrifuged, dried down and weighed for recalculation of the dissolved sample weight.Note 2: The equivalent percentage of the analysed non-silicate fraction represented by the sample weight. X-ray diffraction analyses indicated aragonite as the main non-silicate and easily dissolvable phase.
