Abundance of phyto- and microzooplankton in the upper 100 m during METEOR cruise M44/2 (Gulf of Aqaba and northern Red Sea)

DOI

The phyto- and microzooplankton samples were taken during the M44/2 curise to the northern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba at different depth in the upper 100 m of the water column. The were preserved in 2% borax buffered Formaldehyde-Seawater-Solution. The dominant group at all stations are the coccolithophorids, followed by diatoms and dinoflagellates.
