The Young Lives: Rounds 1 and 2, 2002-2006: Ethiopia: Teaching Dataset contains information obtained from all 1,999 participants at Round 1 (one-year-old) and all 1,912 participants at Round 2 (five-years-old) in Ethiopia. In total there are 1,942 variables on the dataset taken from the child level data files available as part of the main Young Lives study (SN 5307). In order to distinguish data from the two rounds a suffix has been added to each variable:Round 1 (one-year-olds): _et1 Round 2 (five-year-olds): _et5

The variables in this dataset include all those in the child level data files for Ethiopia for children who were one year old at Round 1, and those who were five years old at Round 2. In Round 1 the main topics were: household composition; child health; caregiver background; livelihoods; economic changes; socio-economic status; social capital and anthropometry.
