Abundances of infaunal macrobenthic organisms collected from van Veen grab samples taken in the Barents and Kara Seas and surrounding waters between 1992 and 2003

This dataset is a component of the PAN-Arctic data collection of benthic BIOtas (PANABIO). It contains a total of 10,839 abundance records of 1,126 infaunal macrobenthic taxa (species to class level) identified in 137 van Veen grab samples taken at 137 stations located in the Barents and Kara seas and surrounding waters at water depths of 7–512 m during seven Russian and Norwegian cruises between 1992 and 2003. The dataset is also available in a PostgreSQL-based data warehouse that can be accessed and queried through an open-access frontend web service at https://critterbase.awi.de/panabio.
