Echosounder survey depth from UPAT cruise to the Aetoliko Lagoon, July 2010

DOI

The maximum depth of the lagoon is 30 m. The northern part of the lagoon is deep with a major longitudinal basin (major axis NW-SE) (water depth 25-30 m) and smaller longitudinal basin at the southwest of the northern part with water depth 15-20 m. These two basins are separated by a longitudinal shallow ridge trending WNW-ESE (water depth 10 m) which is the offshore continuation and/or related to gypsum deposits and evaporites at the western margin of the lagoon.
