Microwave µSR studies of solids: electron-hole separation by non-thermal microwave effects and hyperfine interactions

DOI

In this proposal we are planning to study free radicals (molecules with unpaired electrons) and interactions of charged species in solids under microwave irradiation. The study has two potential applications: 1) a new method to characterize the free radicals in solids very accurately. Such studies will be important to develop new material for a wide variety of high tech industries. 2) use of microwave field to enhance the properties of nanomaterial for waste treatment.
