MRI images of underground organs of potato plants grown under two water regimes

DOI

This dataset contains MRI images in DICOM format (consisting of a header with acquisition parameters and image data sets packed into a single file) that support the findings of the manuscript “A global non-invasive methodology for the phenotyping of potato under water deficit conditions using imaging, physiological and molecular tools” submitted to Plant Methods for publication. Images were recorded on a 1.5 T MRI scanner (Magnetom Avanto, Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) equipped with a circular polarized head array coil as described in the article. Images of the underground organs of potato plants acquired using 3D Fast Spin Echo (FSE) sequence are found in two main folder corresponding to each water regimes applied during plant growth (Control and MWD). In each conditions, four plants were analyzed (P1 to P4). For each plants, 192 images are saved in 7 folders corresponding to each MRI measurement session and named according to the number of days after shoot emergence (xx-DASE).
