MDA Sequencing of Microscopic Animals

Multiple displacement amplification is a useful strategy for amplifying micrograms of DNA from picograms of material. Here we investigate the utility of using MDA for HiFi sequencing of microscopic animals. C. elegans was sequenced in order to compare results to the already published reference genome. L. squamat was used to test the efficacy of this approach for generating whole genomes de novo.
