Depth-age points to construct the age model of ODP Site 202-1242 during the Mid-Pleistocene Transition

This dataset contains the tie points used to establish the age model of ODP Site 1242. The age model of ODP Site 1242 is based on graphic correlation of the high-resolution ODP 1242 benthic δ¹⁸O record to the global benthic δ¹⁸O stack of Lisiecki and Raymo (2005, LR04). The strategy used here was correlating identifiable δ¹⁸O-signatures in both the 1242 and the LR04 stack records occurring at the midpoints of glacial-interglacial-glacial transitions. We took the age of those events directly from the LR04 stack or the boundaries between marine isotopic stages defined by Lisiecki and Raymo (2005).
