We have recently managed to prepare powder samples and small single crystals of BaCoF4, BaNiF4, Ba2Co3F10, and the new tetragonal compound Ba2CoF6. These materials are interesting for possible applications as multiferroics and magnetoelectric systems. However, very little is know about the magnetic properties of these compounds. As such, a full investigation on the magnetic structure is still needed. Therefore, we plan to acquire neutron powder diffraction patterns using the INES diffractometer, in parallel specific heat and susceptibility measurements aiming at solving the magnetic structures for these compounds.
