The structure of polydopamine and its antimicrobial functionalisation

Polydopamine has recently found a wide range of applications from biotechnology to surface coatings, however its polymerized structure has yet to be established.Here we propose initial SANS investigations of polydopamine as a function of concentration and polymerization time. In addition we will examine the effect of conjugating polydopamine with peptides, motivated by antimicrobial coating applications.
