Sepiella japonica optic gland transcriptome

The optic gland is a neuroendocrine organ in the cephalopod species, which is believed to control many physiological activities, such as, puberty and gonad maturation. In the present study, we used Illumina sequencing technology (HiSeq2000) to sequence, assemble and annotate the transcriptome of the optic gland of the common Chinese cuttlefish (Sepiella japonica).
