Transcriptome and whole genome methylation of coho salmon liver tissue under different treatments

Liver tissue was collected from size-matched non-transgenic (~19 months old) and transgenic (~6 months old) coho salmon (Chehalis River) before treatment, after feed-deprivation for 28 days, and after 13 days of re-feeding. Two liver tissue samples for each treatment and genotype were pooled before sequencing. This study was performed to better understand the relationship between methylation and gene transcription.
