Neutron Reflection from a Biomineralisation Glycosaminoglycan on Calcite

Here we aim to structurally characterise the formation of adsorbed monolayers of heparin on calcite to address how these species influence biomineralisation and the inhibition of mineral crystallisation. In particular, determination of the heparin adsorbed layer monomer density that can only be obtained using neutron reflection.
