Differential responses of rhizospheric bacteria to low/medium/high cadmium stress in 4 rice varieties

Microorganisms and rice genotypes can influence cadmium (Cd) accumulation in rice plants and grains. Yuzhenxiang (YZX) and Xiangwanxian (XWX) had different Cd accumulations in the same organ of rice plants (i.e. roots, stems, leaves, grains), and Cd content was the highest in 4 rice roots after high Cd stimulation. Thus, rhizospheric bacterial communities were examined by 16s rDNA sequencing in 4 rice varieties cultivated in low (A)/medium (B)/high (C) Cd soils. Diversity analysis showed that bacterial community richness and diversity were varied with Cd content and rice varieties.
