Explore and identify the functional potential of mangrove soil microorganisms for the transformation of polymers such as lignocellulose and PET.

The objective of this study is to explore and identify the functional potential of mangrove soil microorganisms for the transformation of polymers such as lignocellulose and PET. In the study, experiments were carried out with microcosms to evaluate the changes in the composition and functional potential of the microbial communities when disturbed with different polymers. Additionally, a microbial consortium was obtained with the ability to use polymers such as PET as a carbon source.
