Transcriptic changes of Vibrio parahaemolyticus after co-cultured with Hela cells

A total of 10^6 CFU of Vibrio parahaemolyticus RIMD2210633 was used to infect HeLa cells at a multiplicity of infection of 2.5. Affter incubation for 3 h at the condition of 37 degree and 5 percent carbon dioxide, co-cultures were harvested for total RNA preparation. Bacterial mRNA enrichment was performed using an Illumina/Ribo-ZeroTM rRNA Removal Kit (bacteria). Construction and sequencing of cDNA library was performed on an Illumina Hiseq platform. Gene expression profiles of V. parahaemolyticus co-cultured with HeLa cells at 3 h (test) was compared with those co-cultured with HeLa cells at 0 h (reference).
