EUDAT D7.1.3 Towards a globally scalable archive federation technology (final)

This document presents the final work done in the Assessing Scalability task of the Addressing Scalability and Preservation work package of EUDAT. This task looks at scalability and performance issues of the existing Collaborative Data Infrastructure, and compares this with other technologies which could be used within the current CDI based on perceived user community requirements in the three to five year timescale. In this final year, we have concentrated on the use of object storage technologies in a production environment and report experiences of trying to move one particular technology to this status.
