De novo assembly of the the spotted parrotfish (Cetoscarus ocellatus) genome

The genome of the spotted parrotfish (Cetoscarus ocellatus) was sequenced and assembled to investigate the evolution of the species, and parrotfishes more broadly. This genome was assembled using a combination of linked-read, long-read and Hi-C data. Note, scaffolds were split into separate contigs as more than one form of linkage evidence was used in the assembly pipeline, and contigs <200 nucleotides were removed.
