Phylogenomic discordance is driven by wide-spread introgression and incomplete lineage sorting during rapid species diversification within rattlesnakes (Viperidae: Crotalus and Sistrurus)

In this study we used RNAseq data to estimate phylogenetic relationships among rattlesnakes. We show that hybridization and introgression, as well as incomplete lineage sorting associated with rapid diversification have influenced past attempts to resolve the relationships among this group of snakes.
