Aeromonas hydrophila is regarded as one of the important pathogens in freshwater cultured animals and has caused serious economic losses to the global aquaculture industry. Our team have been tracking the bacterial diseases of farmed eel in Fujian for about 20 years, and isolated dozens of strains of A. hydrophila. Among them, the virulence of B11 strain is the strongest. We can obtain the information of virulence-related gene of B11 strain by sequencing and analyzing the genome, and lay a foundation for further elucidating the pathogenic mechanism of A. hydrophila.
