Scatophagus argus Transcriptome or Gene expression

The spotted scat (Scatophagus argus) is a eurythermal and euryhaline species of great economical value. As an important mariculture species, the scat characterized large differences between the sexes, including growth rates, maturity ages etc. Yet little is known about the genomics of this species. To facilitate research on spotted scat, we performed de novo transcriptome analysis of the spotted scat using pyrosequencing (454, Roche).
