Prokaryotic community composition and structure during the Phaeocystis globosa bloom in the Beibu Gulf, China

This study aimed to explore the composition and structure of the particle-attached (PA) microbes and free-living (FL) prokaryotic communities with the assistance of high-throughput sequencing technology, to identify the dominant prokaryotic taxa associated with P. globosa bloom, and to elucidate how the major PA and FL prokaryotic communities respond to environmental variations in the tropical gulf.
