Comparison of Adsorbed Surfactant Behaviour under Poiseuille Flow to Cone-Plate Shear

DOI

As our understanding of surfactant interfacial behaviour grows it is important to assess the applicability of the results to industrial applications. In these cases there are often more complex external forces acting on the system. One such case is in the application of shear fields to the sample; any processes which involves mixing or flowing applies a shear field. In this work the behaviour of a model surfactant under Poiseuille shear is compared to previous results from a cone-plate rheometer.
