Metaviromics of river Yamuna

A metagenomic approach has been implemented to assess the taxonomic diversity of bacteriophages in the Yamuna River, recognized as the most polluted tributary of the Ganga River. This taxonomic investigation serves as a foundational step for subsequent research e roles of bacteriophages in physical and microbial degradation processes within water systems. Additionally, it will contribute to studies on multidrug resistance approaches.
