Pollen profile KUPENA1, Kupena, Bulgaria

DOI

Conventional method: samples were boiled with 10% KOH for 5 min. Those containing carbonates were treated with cold HCL. Coarse mineral particles were removed by decantation and plant macros by sieving. Fine mineral particles were separated by KI and CdI2 (density 2.22). The organic fraction was treated by standard acetolysis (Erdtman, 1960).The EPD (http://www.europeanpollendatabase.net) accepted species name is given in the parameter comment. This dataset was archived on 2010-05-11 from the EPD database.
