Concentration of suspended chlorophyll a, phaeophytin, particulate organic carbon (POC), and particulate organic nitrogen (PON) at 12 stations on the West Greenland continental shelf (64.7-70.7 N, 52.8-58.6 W) in July 2021, project ECOTIP

As part of the project ECOTIP, a field campaign was conducted on the West Greenland continental shelf in July 2021 with the R/V Dana. The following 12 stations were sampled: 1) Dana2021_station1 on 28 July 2021, 2) Dana2021_station10 on 19 July 2021, 3) Dana2021_station12 on 21 July 2021, 4) Dana2021_station14 on 20 July 2021, 5) Dana2021_station15 on 20 July 2021, 6) Dana2021_station17 on 22 July 2021, 7) Dana2021_station21 on 26 July 2021, 8) Dana2021_station22 on 25 July 2021, 9) Dana2021_station24 on 25 July 2021, 10) Dana2021_station26 on 23 July 2021, 11) Dana2021_station28 on 24 July 2021, and 12) Dana2021_station30 on 24 July 2021. At each station, water was collected at 4-9 depths between 1 m and 678 m with a 12 L Niskin bottle attached to a sampling rosette. The collected water was analysed for the following parameters: 1) the concentration of total (> 0.7 micrometre) chlorophyll a (Chl a) (mg Chl a m^-3), 2) the concentration of Chl a > 10 micrometre (mg Chl a > 10 micrometre m^-3), 3) the concentration of total (> 0.7 micrometre) phaeophytin (mg Phaeo m^-3), 4) the concentration of Phaeo > 10 micrometre) (mg Phaeo m^-3), 5) the concentration of particulate (>0.7 micrometre) organic carbon (POC) (mg POC m^-3), 6) the concentration of particulate (>0.7 micrometre) organic nitrogen (PON) (mg PON m^-3), and 7) the atomic ratio of PON:PON. The data are here presented in one nc. file per sampling station. The file title and the ID refers to the sampling station and sampling date (YYYYMMDD). References to additional data from the same field campaign and on the analytical methods can be found in the READ_ME file.
