Fitting egg shapes to boundaries

This is version 2.0.0 of a snapshot of the research code that produced results for the enhanced egg-fitting:

J. Hladůvka and W. G. Kropatsch. Enhanced iterative egg-shape fitting to discretized object boundaries,

submitted in September 2024 to the special issue of Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision.

It is also follow-up of the research code version 1.0.0 (DOI:10.48436/d17s6-p5d44) which is related to:
