Genetic composition of French larch plantations and severity of larch canker disease

DOI

Our goal was to assess the effects of cascading translocations and mixing between European larch gene pools on genetic composition of plantations and their vulnerability to larch canker disease caused by Lachnellula willkommii.

In 57 French larch plantations, we checked the genetic origin of the trees and the disease prevalence and severity. Genotyping was carried out with 13SSR markers .
