The data are a fully processed and time-migrated 2D multichannel seismic data. The data were collected during expedition MSM34 with the research vessel MARIA S. MERIAN (Bialas et al., 2014) in the western Black Sea, off Romania (see map under further details). In the region of these 2D data sets, deep drilling was conducted in 2017 with the MARUM-MeBo-200 seafloor rig as part of expedition METEOR M142 (Bohrmann et al., 2018).
The data are provided in SEG-Y format. The following lines are included: Line_897_03 (0 - 4 s; 1 ms sample rate, CDP 26460-27890) Line_897_04 (0 - 4 s; 1 ms sample rate; CDP 4250-5930) Line_897_05 (0 - 4 s; 1 ms sample rate; CDP 33100-34940) Line_897_15 (0 - 4 s; 1 ms sample rate; CDP 4105-4880) Line_897_24 (0 - 4 s; 1 ms sample rate; CDP 4600 - 6900) Line_P4105 (0.5 - 2 s; 0.5 ms sample rate; CDP 1 - 7200) The following SEG-Y header-word byte locations are used: X-CDP coordinate: byte 73-76Y-CDP coordinate: byte 77-80 CDP-number: 21-24 Lagtime:: 105-106The German Science Foundation (DFG) provided ship time of R/V MARIA S MERIAN. Research cruise MSM34 received funding from the MIDAS project (EU grant 603418) and from the SUGAR project ( German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, grants 03G0819A, 03SX20A, 03G0856).
