CuMnAs has emerged as a testbed system for studying the interaction between spin-orbit coupled charge carriers and antiferromagnetic order, with potential applications in high-frequency memory and logic devices. Here we propose a neutron diffraction study which aims to firmly establish the relationship between the electrical conductivity and the magnetic order in CuMnAs, by using an external magnetic field to reorient the antiferromagnetically coupled spins. Studies of samples with well-characterized magnetic domain structures will shed new light on the spin reorientation processes in this important class of antiferromagnetic materials.
