Site to site optimized tuning of L to LR04 for high resolution age models of IODP Expedition 354 transect (from W to E). Adjustments of tuning results in Table 1 to optimize correlation of L signals between sites and to the benthic isotope stack LR04 of Lisiecki and Raymo (2005, doi:10.1029/2004PA001071). While this strategy continues to use 40Ar/39Ar dates for the Youngest Toba Tephra (YTT) and Oldest Toba Tephra (OTT) (Mark et al., 2017; doi:10.1016/j.quageo.2017.01.002), bio- and magnetostratigraphic data are used only as soft constraints, as discussed in the main text. Note that site-to-site correlation uses CSF-B depths to avoid potential overlaps of CSF-A depths.
