Die sechste Erhebung des Studierendensurveys steht ebenfalls im Fokus des Vergleichs zwischen alten und neuen Bundesländern. Sie umfasst die Themengebiete Bedeutung und Stellenwert des Studiums, Status der Studierenden und Identifizierung mit dem gewählten Studienfach; Aufwand im Studium und beabsichtigte Studiendauer, Grunde für Studienzeitverzögerungen und Maßnahmen zur Studienzeitverkürzung; Anforderungen im Studium hinsichtlich Leistungshöhe und Regelungsdichte, Art und Umfang der Anforderungen, z.B. Praxis- und Forschungsbezug; Studienstrategien (z.B. Auslandsaufenthalt), studentische Erwerbstätigkeit und Erwerb zusätzlicher Qualifikationen (z.B. Fremdsprachen); Beurteilung der Lehrsituation und Studienqualität, Eignung verschiedener Lehrformen für Studienfortschritte; Umfang der Kontakte und Beziehungsqualität zu Lehrenden; Beratungsangebote, deren Nutzung und Bewertung; Forderungen und Wünsche der Studierenden zur Hochschulentwicklung und zur Verbesserung der Studiensituation. Die Daten basieren auf Zufallsstichproben an 13 Universitäten und zehn Fachhochschulen in Westdeutschland und umfassen 667 Items (plus zusätzlich kreierte Variablen).
The sixth survey of the Student Survey also focuses on the comparison between the old and the new federal states. It covers the following topics: importance and significance of studying, status of students and identification with the chosen field of study; time spent studying and intended duration of study, reasons for delays in studying and measures to shorten the duration of study; requirements of studying in terms of performance level and regulatory density, type and scope of requirements, e.g., practical and research relevance; study strategies (e.g., study abroad), student employment and acquisition of additional qualifications (e.g., foreign languages). The study of the quality of teaching and study, the suitability of different forms of teaching for progress in studies, the extent of contact and the quality of relationships with teachers, the use and evaluation of advisory services, the demands and wishes of students for the development of higher education and the improvement of the study situation. The data are based on random samples at 13 universities and ten universities of applied sciences in West Germany and comprise 667 items (plus additionally created variables).
