Understanding the superconductivity in YbSb2

DOI

The number of Type I binary of ternary alloys is small. Recently, YbSb2 is reported to be a type I superconductor. However, it has an unusual phase diagram, which might show a cross-over between type I and type II. Maybe evidence for type 1.5. It has been suggested that the lower superconducting state might be field induced and be a result of the suppression of spin fluctuations. We propose to use uSR to investigate the superconducting properties of YbSb2.
