Exploring functional diversity of bacterial communities in the Arabian sea, east coast of India using whole genome sequence

Marine water samples were collected in July 2018 using a Niskin bottle sampler rosette equipped with CTD sensors and water collected from chlorophyll maximum layer for the stations G600 , M600 and T600 stations having a depth of 600m depth. Water was prefiltered to remove eukaryotic organisms like zooplanktons and bigger diatoms using 20um mesh filter followed by 0.2um PES filters. The filtered filter membranes were stored at -20 C until further DNA extraction for whole genome sequencing analysis.
