Samples of the coral, Montastraea cavernosa, were collected from Belize, the northwest Gulf of Mexico, Pulley Ridge, and the northern Florida Reef Tract. Genomic DNA was extracted from these samples and used to prepare 2bRAD libraries. Pooled sample libraries underwent 100 bp single-end sequencing on an Illumina Novaseq and reads were used to genotype the samples using a 2bRAD SNP approach for a population genetic structure analysis along with 2bRAD sequences previously uploaded to ncbi for the Florida Keys, Dry Tortugas, Campeche Bank, Mexico, and Cuba.
